On Friday, wheat futures saw slight declines. March SRW wheat closed at $5.48/bu ($201/mt), down 0.1% from Thursday. March HRW wheat in Kansas fell to $5.41/bu ($199/mt), down 0.7%. March Euronext wheat settled at €221.50/mt ($234/mt), down 0.2%. March U.S. corn futures rose to $4.33/bu ($171/mt), up 1.2%.
Russia’s wheat export quota from February to July 2025 is set at 11 million mt, according to the Ministry of Economic Development. Quotas for barley, rye, and corn exports will be set at zero, the ministry reported.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved the purchase of an elevator company from French grain trader Louis Dreyfus. The company ceased grain exports from Russia in July 2023.
As of November 28, Ukrainian farmers harvested 53.9 million mt of grains (56.3 million mt a year ago) from 10.8 million ha (10.4 million ha), with an average yield of 4.97 mt/ha (5.43 mt/ha).
France’s 2024 corn harvest reached 13.9 million mt, up from 12.6 million mt the previous year, according to the country’s General Association of Corn Producers (AGPM).
