U.S. grain futures rose on Monday. December SRW wheat settled at $5.36/bu ($197/mt; +1.5% from Friday). December HRW wheat rose to $5.27/bu ($194/mt; +1.5%). December Euronext wheat closed at €190.75/mt ($220/mt; -0.4%). December U.S. corn fell to $4.30/bu ($169/mt; +0.6%).
Egypt’s Mostakbal Misr purchased about 500 tmt of wheat in recent weeks for December–January delivery, Reuters reported citing company representatives. Around 200 tmt will come from Russia, with the remainder sourced from Ukraine, Bulgaria, and Romania.
China’s corn production in the 2025/26 season (October–September) will reach a record 300 mmt, according to the country’s monthly agriculture ministry report.
Brazil’s Safras & Mercado raised its 2025/26 corn crop forecast by 1.1 mmt to 143.6 mmt.
According to analysts polled by Reuters, U.S. corn harvest was 97% complete as of November 3, compared to 95% a year earlier.
Market participants report that 95% of U.S. winter wheat has been planted, up from 91% a year earlier. The share of winter wheat rated good or excellent is estimated at 52%, compared to 44% a year ago.
