U.S. grain futures fell on Monday. May SRW wheat settled at $5.88/bu ($216/mt; -1.3% vs. Friday). May HRW wheat slipped to $6.03/bu ($222/mt; -0.5%). May Euronext wheat closed at €202.25/mt ($235/mt; -0.5%). May U.S. corn fell to $4.59/bu ($181/mt; -1.3%).

The EU’s MARS monitoring service released its first 2026 yield outlook. Soft wheat yield is seen at 5.98 mt/ha, below last year’s 6.05 mt/ha but above the five-year average of 5.86 mt/ha.

For the week ended March 19, U.S. wheat inspections totaled 458 tmt versus market expectations of 250-450 tmt, USDA data showed.
