U.S. markets were closed on Thursday in observance of Juneteenth. September Euronext wheat settled at €209.00/mt ($240/mt; +0.5%).
The share of French soft wheat rated in good or excellent condition declined to 68% from 70% a week earlier, according to FranceAgriMer.
As of June 18, Argentine farmers had planted 4.0 mln ha of wheat out of the planned 6.7 mln ha, the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange reported. At the same time last year, 4.1 mln ha had been sown.
Corn was harvested on 3.5 mln ha out of the expected 7.1 mln ha in Argentina, compared to 3.6 mln ha out of 7.6 mln ha a year earlier, the exchange said. Yields were estimated at 7.82 mt/ha.
Germany’s association of agricultural cooperatives raised its wheat production estimate to 21.51 mln mt from 21.46 mln mt a month earlier due to rainfall. The 2025 crop is expected to be 16% higher than last year’s.
