Wheat futures rose on Tuesday. The July SRW wheat contract closed at $5.49/bu ($202/mt; +2.3% from Monday). The July Kansas HRW contract increased to $5.48/bu ($201/mt; +2.2%). September Euronext wheat settled at €202.00/mt ($232/mt; +0.9%). July U.S. corn futures fell to $4.31/bu ($170/mt; -0.7%).
A state of emergency was declared in eight districts of Russia’s Krasnodar region due to drought, Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said. According to him, about 15% of winter crops are in poor condition, 45% in good, and 40% in fair condition.
Jordan purchased 60,000 mt of hard wheat at $254.90/mt C&F in an international tender, European traders said.
From July 1 through June 15, 2025, EU soft wheat exports reached 19.8 mln mt, down from 29.8 mln mt a year earlier, according to European Commission data. Analysts noted that full-year 2024 export data from France and Italy remain incomplete.
