Grain futures fell on Tuesday. May SRW wheat settled at $5.73/bu ($211/mt; -0.1% vs. Monday). May HRW wheat slipped to $5.67/bu ($208/mt; -0.9%). May Euronext wheat closed at €197.25/mt ($232/mt; -0.3%). May U.S. corn fell to $4.38/bu ($173/mt; -0.4%).

Algeria’s OAIC bought several hundred thousand metric tons of wheat in an international tender at $259-$260/mt C&F, traders said.

From July 1 to Feb. 22, the EU shipped 15.4 mmt of soft wheat (+10% YoY), up from 14.0 mmt over the same period last season, according to European Commission data. Export figures for Poland, Bulgaria and Ireland are incomplete.

From Feb. 1 to Feb. 20, Ukraine exported 2.3 mmt of grain versus 2.5 mmt as of Feb. 21, 2025, Economy Ministry data showed. Total shipments since the start of the season reached 21.2 mmt versus 28.2 mmt a year earlier.
