On Monday, grain futures declined. Chicago SRW March settled at $5.21/bu ($191/mt), down 1.6% from Friday. Kansas City HRW March slid to $5.12/bu ($188/mt), down 1.2%. Euronext wheat March settled at €187.75/mt ($221/mt), down 0.7%. Corn March fell to $4.40/bu ($173/mt), down 0.2%.
In the Rostov region, winter crops had emerged on 99.6% of the 2.8 mln ha planted area, the regional agriculture ministry said. Favorable weather in November brought moisture and warmth, with crops entering winter in an active vegetation stage; conditions were rated good and satisfactory.
In the Stavropol region, 2.0 mln ha of winter crops were also in good and satisfactory condition despite recent frosts, regional authorities said.
In the Krasnodar region, the winter crop sown area totaled 1.8 mln ha, with regional authorities reporting emergence across the full sown area.
China’s total grain output in 2025 totaled 714.9 mmt, up 1.2% from last year’s record, the National Bureau of Statistics said. Wheat production totaled 140.1 mmt, roughly in line with last year, while corn output hit a record 301.2 mmt, up 2.1% from 2024.
Winter crops across most of Ukraine have fully entered winter dormancy, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center said.
